Registration

There is a 40€ Studio Registration Fee for new students that will be added to the first invoice.

Private Piano Lesson Fees

Weekly lessons are offered as online lessons, or live in the Studio (with Covid procedures in place, see below).

Regular weekly private lessons are paid in advance monthly, based on the number of lessons scheduled that month.

30 min. weekly private lesson (Online or Studio) 15€ per lesson.
45 min. weekly private lesson (Online or Studio) 23€ per lesson.
60 min. weekly private lesson (Online or Studio) 30€ per lesson.

For adult students wishing to have less frequent lessons, the fees are:

30 min. private lesson (Online or Studio) 20€ per lesson.
45 min. private lesson (Online or Studio) 25€ per lesson.
60 min. private lesson (Online or Studio) 30€ per lesson.

Invoices will be sent by email and are due for payment on the 20th of each month in advance unless otherwise specified.

The Lessons

This year's lessons will take place face-to-face in the studio again for those who wish, but there will be new procedures in place:

As a courtesy, all students are sent an email and/or SMS reminder the day before the scheduled lesson time. Lessons begin when they are scheduled, so please be on time. There will be no added time at the end of the lesson if the student has arrived late. Please pick up your child promptly after the lesson has ended.

Make sure to bring all books and sheet music to every lesson.
We wash our hands before lessons. I will have a disinfectant placed by the entrance.
We make sure that nails are cut short and long hair is tied back.
Students who use eyeglasses should bring them to the lessons.

Repertoire

I will suggest piano books and sheet music at the appropriate level for each student.

Please purchase the music as soon as possible so the learning doesn't get delayed. In some cases, the student may borrow the music from my library until the purchased music arrives.

Practice

All students need help and reminders to practice at home.

Students are expected to practice daily for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Younger students can practice less (10-20 minutes per day), as long as they practice every day.
All students are required to have a well-tuned piano and a metronome for practice at home.

Consistent practice is expected at the studio and necessary to make progress. You can use your

Practice Log in the Student Portal, where you can also ask me questions and even upload videos of your playing for me to help you between lessons.☺

Canceling of Lessons

24 Hours In Advance

Cancel at least 24 hours in advance, and private piano lessons can be rescheduled for any reason:

1. Log in to the Student Portal and cancel your lesson. (Here is online help.)

2. Search the Calendar for an available lesson time and reschedule. I will be informed automatically, so you won't have to do anything else. (Here is online help).

Less Than 24 Hours

The lesson is lost and there is no makeup or refund. (Please see "Illness Policy" below.) Please note that no makeups or refunds are given if a student doesn't show up or forgets a lesson!

Illness Policy

This policy is in place to protect me and the other students in the studio, and you can come to lessons with confidence, knowing that you are in a clean environment!

Do not come to lessons if feeling sick!

Students who arrive for a lesson with an illness, feeling flu-like symptoms, or who have a family member with the flu, will be sent home.

If a student gets sick the same day, there are 3 options:

1. Each calendar year students will be granted up to 3 lessons which may be canceled on the day of their lesson due to illness only and still receive a make-up credit.

2. Or, we can have an online Zoom lesson at your scheduled time. Just call, email, or SMS me as soon as possible. I'll need 10 min to set up.

3. If this is not possible, I will use your scheduled lesson time to send email ideas or a video about what and how the student can study or learn until the next lesson. Or, you may call me at 6945-175029 during the time of your scheduled lesson for help and advice about the pieces we study.

Termination of Lessons

If a student decides to stop piano lessons, tuition will be charged that is due until the end of that month. There are no refunds for already paid tuition.
If a student displays a lack of interest and is not completing practice assignments for an extended period of time, I may suggest termination of lessons.
Non-payment of lessons or consistent late payment will result in immediate termination.

Media Release

My studio has an online presence on this Studio's Website, on Facebook, on YouTube, and on Instagram.

With permission, I occasionally post pictures and videos of what my students are learning and accomplishing. Students will only be identified by their first names. If you would not like your/your child’s picture online, please let me know when we begin lessons.
